So everyone here knows that I'm the Samurai guy, and I got my lil gas sipper back last year. The news is that I'm rebuilding the Samurai now. I found out I had a 401k and am putting most of it into the lil Sammy. The build consists of rebuilding the engine, replace the trans, rebuild the front and rear axle, fix all the rust and cut out wheel wells, put jeep yj leaf springs on it, all running on 33" tires. only lifting it about 2 inches. Just got my 1995 Jeep YJ yesterday! what an adventure!, had a blow out on the way home, and fixed the brakes at a gas station. I still have a bunch to do it. i have alot of part swaping to do of the old and busted 87. the 95 is a 4.0 liter mpi with 195000 miles on it but pulls strong. doesn't seem to be burning oil and fairly good gas milage highway. Hardly any rust on the body, just a little on the drivers side drain hole, and the fenders are shot, but thats why i have metalcloaks coming…Continue

So a buddy of mine John had a Suzuki Samurai for a while and it got a real bad oil leak that he didn't want to deal with. Sooooo, I bought it. I know it's not a real Jeep but will be a great lil gas sipper 4x4 if i can fix it. so once i get this fixed it's back to work on the yj.

Well my friend now has to put a roof on his house. That being I guess i'm not selling my 88 wrangler yj. so i'm gonna really look into how much i have to do to get it lifted and running right, and the frame patched up ( rear shackles ). soooo i will make my list and see how much money has to be spent.
